Northern Ireland’s leading local cancer charity, Action Cancer, has been selected as the charity partner for Progressive Building Society’s 2023 AGM.
Taking place on Thursday 27th April, Progressive will donate £2 and 20p for each online vote and paper vote respectively that is registered for the Society’s 108th Annual General Meeting, up to the value of £10,000.
Established in 1973, Action Cancer aims to provide early detection, support and prevention to over 25,000 people across Northern Ireland through a range of services including digital breast screening, M.O.T. health checks as well as support and therapeutic services.
Commenting on the AGM charity partnership, Progressive’s Society Secretary Kyle McRoberts said: “We are delighted to partner with Action Cancer for this year’s AGM and help support a service vital to local families and communities.
“With this being the charity’s 50th year in operation, 2023 is an opportunity to recognise the life-saving work of Action Cancer and the support they deliver to local people and their families at a time of great need.
“At Progressive, we are actively involved in supporting communities across Northern Ireland, and the tireless work of Action Cancer is very close to our hearts.”
All money raised for Action Cancer remains in Northern Ireland to support local people. Each year the charity aims to raise £4 million to support delivery of its vital service, and relies on donations from the public and the local business community to deliver their life-saving and support services to local people.
Please take time to vote in Progressive’s AGM.
