We understand that the lockdown situation we are in currently isn’t easy for anyone, with drastic changes being made to our everyday lives, but for those in abusive relationships, it’s an even more turbulent and stressful time.
With the increased government restrictions on leaving the house, domestic abuse victims will struggle more than ever to get some time away from their partners and have less opportunities to alert others to their situation.
At Progressive, we want all of our Members to know that we are here for you, and if you feel that you are in danger, or suspect someone else is, as a result of your living situation, please alert our staff and we will do what we can to help and keep you safe.
Please also be aware that the household isolation rules don’t apply to domestic abuse, and if you need to leave for your own or your children’s safety, you can do so at any time.

There are also various domestic abuse charities and shelters who are doing what they can to help those in need. If you can do so safely and have a secure and private internet connection, have a look on Google for the closest or most convenient one for you to contact.
