Aspiring first time buyer Olivia admits that she’s just at the beginning of her journey to home ownership, stating that she probably won’t buy a house for another few years. However, that didn’t stop her opening a Help to Buy: ISA this month – she explains how easy it is to open one with Progressive, and why you should too – regardless of how far away you are from buying!
The 30th of November is fast approaching, so we want to make sure that you know exactly what’s needed to open your Help to Buy: ISA with us before it’s too late…
“All you have to do to open your account is pop into one of Progressive’s 12 branches, fill out a quick application form and then it takes about five minutes for one of their helpful staff members to get the account opened. From start to finish it only takes around 10 minutes. However, if you’re really in a rush you can download your application form here and when you have five spare minutes before the 30th bring it in branch to open your account.
The only thing that you need to bring is photographic ID and proof of address, although you will also need to know your National Insurance Number, so make sure you know it for filling out your form!
You only need to put £1 into your account to get it opened, though you can go right up to £1,200 in your first month. After this, you will be able to save up to £200 per month and the government bonuses will remain available until 1st December 2030.
That’s all it takes! So, whether you are nipping in on your lunch break or calling in on your way home, they will get your account open as quickly and efficiently as possible."
