Savings accountsPaying into a Cash ISA
To pay into your Cash ISA, you can do this electronically, I.e. via bank transfer. Remember, you can only pay in up to a maximum of the annual ISA allowance (£20,000 for the current tax year). Please use the following details when making transfers/payments into your Progressive Cash ISA from your bank account:

Paying into another type of savings account with Progressive
Depending on the type of savings account you have, you can transfer money into the account electronically from your bank account. Please use the following details when making transfers/payments into your Progressive savings account from your bank account:

As part of the Confirmation of Payee (CoP) check you might receive an unavailable or cannot perform check message when completing your transaction. This can happen for a number of reasons, e.g. the account you are attempting to make the payment to was opened less than 24 hours previous or the bank you are sending money from has not yet connected with Progressive’s CoP services.
If you are unsure if the terms and conditions of your account allow you to make further deposits, contact your branch and a member of staff will be happy to assist you.
Withdrawals are subject to specific account terms and conditions.
If you’d like to make a withdrawal from your savings account, you can do this via post. You should post your passbook and your written instructions telling us how much you wish to withdraw, to one of our branches and we can issue you with a cheque payable to you the account holder.
If you are unsure if the terms and conditions of your account allow you to make withdrawals, contact your branch and a member of staff will be happy to assist you.
If you’d like to open a new account with the Society, you can do this via post.
1. Once you know the savings account you’d like to open, please review the following documentation which can be found on each savings account page in the Useful Information section:
2. Print and complete the Savings Application Form which can also be found on the account page.
3. Post the completed form along with a cheque (made payable to Progressive Building Society re: insert your name) and certified copies of your identity documents to the branch you wish to operate your account.
4. You will receive confirmation of your account being open, along with your passbook via post.
