Progressive Enniskillen raises vital funds for Simon Community NI

Progressive Building Society’s Enniskillen branch has today announced it is donating £5,000 to local homelessness charity, Simon Community NI.

The charity was nominated for financial support by Progressive staff and the money will be used to help fund the vital services which supports homeless individuals and families across Northern Ireland.

Simon Community’s services which are being supported by Progressive include accommodation for the homeless, maintaining a 24/7 helpline answering 33,000 calls per year and implementing a homelessness prevention programme.

Brenda Robinson Progressive Customer Service Manager, Enniskillen is delighted to be supporting such a worthwhile cause, “We are proud to assist with raising funds for Simon Community NI and the staff are eager to continue our fundraising efforts with some great activities arranged for the rest of the year.”

Darina Armstrong, CEO of Progressive Building Society outlined Progressive’s local charity pledge and its support of the Simon Community NI team which works tirelessly to ensure that anyone who is homeless or at risk of losing their home gets the support they need, she said, “At Progressive we are committed to playing a key role in fundraising for local charities such as Simon community NI and by the end of 2015 will have donated a minimum of £70,000 to 14 local charities.”
