Progressive’s Charitable Donation to Down’s Syndrome Association

16 July, 2015

A charity which supports those with Down’s Syndrome and their families, has been awarded £5,000 as a charitable donation from Progressive Building Society’s Derry~Londonderry branch.

The Down’s Syndrome Association (DSA) was awarded with the donation after being nominated for financial support by Progressive staff. The money will go towards providing training for parents and carers and workshops for people with Down’s syndrome to help improve their self-esteem and confidence.

Noel Murray, Manager of Progressive’s Derry~Londonderry branch is delighted to be supporting the charity, “We are proud to be involved with such a worthwhile cause that facilitates events to develop people with Down’s Syndrome through outdoor pursuits, drama, and many other social activities. The staff in the branch are always enthusiastic about getting involved with local charities and are really getting behind the partnership, playing an active role in fundraising with many events planned for over the summer.”
