Progressive goes to Holywood
With a commitment to building and supporting local communities across Northern Ireland, Progressive Building Society is delighted to be participating in Business in the Community’s ‘Big Shops Showdown’ in aid of Cancer Focus Northern Ireland.
What is the Big Shops Showdown?
As part of its training and development programme Progressive Building Society offers staff the opportunity to complete an ILM Level 3 Leadership & Management qualification. A group of employees participating in the programme will compete against other businesses from across Northern Ireland, taking over Cancer Focus charity shops on Friday 27th April, where they will be responsible for the promotion and management of the stores from 10am. The teams will be judged on their performance based on sales on the day and overall fundraising.
How are Progressive taking part?
Progressive Building Society will be taking over the Holywood Cancer Focus NI store on Friday 27thApril. Staff have been fundraising over the last few months and gathering donations to sell in the shop.
Caroline Murdoch, Progressive’s Learning and Development manager, who is running the ILM course internally commented, “We are delighted to be participating in this campaign. It demonstrates great vision and innovation from Business in the Community and support for Cancer Focus NI. Our staff members are looking forward to using their entrepreneurial and creative skills to increase footfall and sales at the Holywood store.
“At Progressive, we are committed to building communities and supporting local causes so we welcome the opportunity to get ‘hands-on’, raising money for an organisation that makes such a valuable contribution in the lives of people suffering from cancer. How can I take part?
To support Cancer Focus NI and the Progressive Building Society team, come along to Cancer Focus NI’s shop in Holywood, 66-72 High Street, on Friday 27th April from 10am. Progressive staff will be in the store to help you pick something special and with the added incentive of 50% off Maud’s ice cream with every purchase, there’s even more reason to splash out!
